Your business keeps running no matter what happens
Ransomware. Hardware failure. Accidental deletion. Natural disaster. KBCSI’s business continuity program ensures your data is protected, your backups are verified, and your recovery plan is ready.
Why it matters
The scenarios that end businesses — and how KBCSI prevents them
Ransomware attack
Attackers encrypt your files and demand payment. Without verified backups, paying the ransom may be your only option.
Average downtime: 21 days
Hardware failure
A server dies without warning. Without a current backup and recovery plan, critical data may be gone permanently.
Data loss rate: up to 100%
Accidental deletion
An employee permanently deletes critical files. Microsoft 365’s native recycle bin only retains data for 30–93 days.
M365 native retention: 93 days max

Cloud Backup — M365 & Google Workspace
Automated daily backup of all email, calendars, contacts, files, SharePoint, Teams, and Google Drive. Stored in a separate cloud environment — completely independent from Microsoft or Google.
Backup Monitoring & Verified Restores
We don’t just run your backups — we verify them. Weekly restore tests confirm your data is actually recoverable. Backup health is included in your monthly IT health report.
Disaster Recovery Planning
A documented, tested disaster recovery plan specific to your environment. Reviewed and updated quarterly. Your team knows exactly what to do when something goes wrong.
DR Testing & Simulation
A plan that has never been tested is not a plan. KBCSI conducts tabletop exercises and live restore simulations to validate recovery procedures before you need them.

Common questions
What businesses ask about backup and continuity
No — and this is the most common misconception we encounter. Microsoft 365 provides limited native retention but this is not a backup. Data deleted beyond the retention window or affected by ransomware is not recoverable from Microsoft’s native tools alone.
A backup that has never been tested is an assumption, not a guarantee. Verified restore means we actually retrieve sample data from the backup and confirm it is intact every week. Many backup failures are silent — weekly restore testing catches this before you need it.
For most Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace recovery scenarios, we target 2–8 hours depending on the volume of data. Full environment recovery is governed by your documented disaster recovery plan, which we review and test with you quarterly.
